Alex D'Andrea was married to Katherine Kelly Lang. They got a divorce in 2014 but they had one child together, a daughter called Danyelle. He is a stepfather of Julian Snider and Jeremy Snider. They are Katherine's children from her first marriage.

Katherine started playing a tormented character named Brooke Logan Forrester on CBS's "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 1987.

In 2010, Alex and his former wife, the soap opera star Katherine Kelly Lang sold their Sherman Oaks home for a price of $1,449,000. The customary house, built-in 1951, has a high roof in the main floor family room, a 7-foot worked in wine rack, five rooms, and three restrooms. There is a 3410-square-feet of living space. Designed for a functioning family, the lawn includes a spot to shoot crates and a putting green.

After graduating from NYU film school, Alex moved to the production and development positions for Orion Pictures and at Epic Productions. Irwin Yablans handpicked him to be a story editor and then he moved to the production and acquisition department. He was the producer and the manager of Seven Summit Picture and Management. While working with Seven Summit, he developed a feature film together with Vince Vaughn’s company known as Wild West Picture Show production.

Alex D'Andrea worked at the Edmond entertainment group where he was doubling as a producer and a manager on television and film projects for over a decade. EEG has been able to create a reputation by providing excellence, creativity, and innovation in the ever-changing and fast-paced industry. They were able to set up more than 10 projects in network television and more than 30 film projects.

When he stopped his work for Edmond Entertainment, Alex started to work for his own company called Baldwin D’anderea. It was the result of the partnership between Stephen Baldwin and himself. The company had developed many projects together with Baldwin brothers which included zany comedies, docu-dramas, and action thrillers. It also included one western film with Alec Baldwin as the director. The company acquired rights to the New York Times bestseller called Benjamin Franklin: An American Life written by Walter Isaacson.

Besides the film and TV projects, their company production started to work on the development of the book deals with sports legends like Michael Sugar and Michael Irvin. Sports stars wanted to be in charge of their autobiographies so they enlisted the help of Alex and his production company.

Alex D'Andrea started a new company with managers in Toronto and the UK so that he could develop a triangle production and management company. ADA with its associates helped in the production of the film called Wicked which is set in London and the Guy Ritchies film called Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. ADA helped develop a project for Adrian Grenier when they created HBO’s Entourage.
