Amy Jo Roloff is an American television personality, author, baker, and motivational speaker. Roloff is most recognized for her participation in TLC's Little People, Big World on reality television. The show documented the Roloff family's daily lives, which included two parents who are dwarfs.
On September 17, 1964, Amy Roloff was born in the state of Michigan to Gordon Knight, a Ford Motor Company employee, and Patricia Knight, a Ford employee (died 2019). Cyndi (deceased 2015), Katherine, and Roger were the other children of her parents. She was born with achondroplasia, a genetic disease that causes small stature. Amy Roloff was a student at Livonia's Franklin High School. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a business degree.
Shortly after her educational milestone, she moved to California and started working for one of the top companies in Silicon Valley as an assistant Research and Development manager and became a valuable team player to managers.
In 1987, Roloff met Matt Roloff, then Amy Knight, at a Little People of America convention. On September 12, 1987, they married. They had four children: fraternal twins Jeremy and Zachary (born in 1990), Molly (1993), and Jacob (born in 1997). In March 2014, the couple openly stated their desire for a divorce. The couple announced their divorce on June 5, 2015. In May of 2016, the divorce was finalized.
Near Helvetia, Oregon, Amy, and Matt owned a 100-acre (40 ha) farm.
During October, the farm opens to the public, including attractions such as a pumpkin patch. In 2009, a woman who visited the farm filed a lawsuit against the Roloffs, alleging that she fell due to their lack of safety protocols. In 2013, the matter was settled out of court after the pair disputed misconduct. Matt bought the farm from Amy after their divorce, and she bought a new home in Oregon.
Roloff Farms Salsa, a pumpkin salsa firm, was also owned by the couple.
Amy got engaged to her then-boyfriend Chris Marek on September 19, 2019. On August 28, 2021, they married on the property where she resided with her first husband.
