Bryce Harper is a professional baseball player of America. He plays as the right fielder on the behalf of Washington Nationals of MLB. He has won many accolades like Award of Golden Spikes in the year 2010, Award of National League Rookie of the year in 2012, 2015 Award of Silver Slugger and Award of Hank Aaron in the same year. He was also selected as the Most Valuable Player in the year 2015 of NL by an undisputed decision made by Association of Baseball Writers of America.

Biography and Early Life

Bryce was born on 16th October 1992 in the city of Las Vegas of Nevada to Ron Harper and Sheri Harper. His full name is Bryce Aron Max Harper. His father used to work as an ironworker while his elder brother Bryan Harper, also plays baseball in the National organization of Washington.

Bryce attended the High School of Las Vegas and after completing his year of sophomore, he received his GED or General Educational Development in October of the year 2009. Due to which he becomes eligible for participating in the Amateur draft of 2010 June. Bryce started his amateur career in the year 2010 when he was just 17 years old.

For the college season of 2010, Bryce got himself enrolled in the Southern Nevada College of SWAT which is a part of NJCAA playing as a catcher. He won the title of Player of the 2010 Year of SWAC.

Professional Career

Bryce had already played as a catcher, the Nationals decided to draft him in form of an outfielder so that his career can be extended and his development can be further accelerated. As a result, he was able to make his debut in Major League Basketball earlier. Scot Boras represented Bryce. As per stats,Bryce entered into a contract of 5 years with the Nationals for the total amount of 9.9 million dollars. It constituted of 6.25 million dollars as a signing amount and college tuition fees of 8 semesters. During the Game Weekend of All-Star of year 2011, Bryce was chosen to represent the US.
