Christina Tosi 

Christina Tosi was born on November 9, 1981 in Ohio, United States to Greta Tosi-Miller. She was raised in Springfield, Virginia. Tosi belongs to Italian American descent. She lived in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. Christina’s parents are ordinary people her father was an agricultural economist and mother was an accountant. Christina Tosi attended the University of Virginia and was an electrical engineering student. She continued her education in James Madison University, and after graduation enrolled in the French Culinary Institute's pastry arts program in New York.

Her first career as a cook was in the kitchens of New York City. Then she worked in Momofuku restaurant group, where David Chang, the owner of Momofuku, originally employed her to write his food safety plan. David was impressed with her talent and then he hired her to be his pastry chef. She became the founder of the dessert program titled Momofuku-Milk Bar, because there were no desserts on the menu of Momofuku restaurant group. As chef, founder, and owner of five retail outlets Momofuku Milk Bar in the New York she continued to expand business. She also opened a sixth location in Toronto, Canada and one more in Washington, D.C. in the end of 2015.

Tosi published her first book entitled “Momofuku Milk Bar” in October of 2011 which contained recipes of the desserts. This book mostly contains recipes of the desserts that are solded at the Momofuku Milk Bar retail outlets. Christina Tosi began marketing cookie mixes through Williams-Sonoma stores in the 2012. The cookie mix venture was replaced three years later by an exclusive distribution deal with Target Company. She was a recipient of the James Beard Rising Star Chef award in the 2012 and 2015 recipient of the James Beard Outstanding Pastry Chef award.

In the 2014 Tosi was featured on a list of "Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink" by Food and Wine Magazine. At the same year was featured by Glamour in "The Power of Taking Risks and the Magic Behind Momofuku Milk Bar". She also appeared in a television commercial for Subaru in 2014 and she did promotional work for American Express, Kellogg's, and Estée Lauder.

She appeared as a judge in Fox reality TV cooking competition shows MasterChef and MasterChef Junior in the 2015. In addition to her work in the MasterChef show, she was featured in an episode of Conan in April of the same year. Her second book “Milk Bar Life” released on April of 2015. In 2016, it was announced that an eighth location of Momofuku-Milk Bar will be opened at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in Nevada. Tosi also has been featured multiple times by the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. She has a net worth of 1 million dollars. Christina Tosi married to Will Guidara in the 2016 in a rustic, camp-themed wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate in Port Jervis. Christina and her husband lives in Brooklyn.
