Erica Ruth Hill was born on July 20, 1976, in the state of Connecticut. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of journalism. She achieved her education milestone at Boston University in 1998. She is a member of the sorority Alpha Epsilon Phi. She is American but also speaks French fluently. She is the daughter of Cheryl Hill, an American correspondent.

Career and Net Worth

Erica Hill started her career as a journalist at PC Week Radio for an online program. The program was produced by the popular PC Week magazine. She also worked as a conference coordinator for the software publishers that were associated with emerging tech companies. She worked in TechTV starting 2000 but her stint there ended in 2003. She went from the TechTV news program to TechLive. She started out as a reporter but after some time she became the co-anchor as well as the correspondent for her program. She reported on the terrorist attack of 2001 live while she was still working with TechTV.

She joined Headlines News at the CNN channel in 2003 when she was working as the general news anchor for many programs. In 2004, she started to work at CNN Newsource as a national correspondent. She co-anchored the Prime News Tonight from 2005 up until 2006. She is also the correspondent or the NBC news which includes the NBC nightly news.

When she joined CBS news channel, she became the co-host of many programs and she replaced many hosts which include the weekday edition of the Early Shows along with the CBS Evening News. Her job and effort were recognized and she was appreciated on many channels. Many people were impressed because of how she presented the news and she was asked to get into more shows because of her amazing skills.

In 2016, Erica Hill made a return to the revamped HLN after leaving the network in 2012. In between her return, she made successful stops at both NBC and CBS News. She discussed the return back to HLN with The Wrap, "It really does feel like coming home. I was very proud to say that I worked at CNN and it wasn’t an easy decision to leave, I don’t regret it. I’m really glad that I took that break, went to a couple of places, and was afforded all these opportunities. But I was excited to come back here.”
