Hannah Simone is a Canadian television hostess, who is also an actress and a former fashion model. She also did a brief stint as VJ for the channel MuchMusic in Canada. She is presently on the television series New Girl, playing the character, Cece Parekh.

Born in August 3, 1980 in London, Hannah grew up in Calgary in Alberta and later moved to Cyprus, where she took up fashion modeling and graced the covers of local fashion publications. Her father is of Indian descent, while her mother is of multiracial descent including German, Greek Cypriot, and Italian origin. She also lived for a brief period in New Delhi and later settled in Canada. She was initially a resident of White Rock in British Columbia, but later shifted to Vancouver. She studied at the British Columbia University, where she took up Political Science and International Relations as major subjects and later joined the United Nations as human rights and Refugee officer in London.

Simone started her career as anchor for the show ‘Space for Living’ in HGTV, Canada during its first season. She later shifted to MuchMusic as VJ. She also worked as news presenter in the show ‘Much News Weekly’, and also hosted the show ‘The New Music’. She later quit MuchMusic in the year 2008 and hosted the show WCG Ultimate Gamer with Joel Gourdin on Syfy, which premiered in the year 2009 and lasted for two seasons till 2010.
