Jill Nicolini is a former model, actress, and journalist based in New York. She is also a reality show participant. Nicolini is an entertainment reporter at WNYW on the show Good Day New York. Born in January 10, 1978 in Farmingville, New York, Nicolini attended high school at Sachem South High School and later studied at the Stony Brook University for one year. She afterwards studied at the Community College in Suffolk County. She received her Associates degree there in Television and Radio Broadcasting in the year 2000. She later attended the New York Institute of Technology where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts.
Nicolini joined the WBLI radio located in Long Island, where she began her broadcasting career. She later joined LI News Tonight as reporter. She served as arena announcer for the New York Islanders and also as dancer for New York Dragons Arena Football Team. She later joined Metro & Traffic and Weather Channel in Long Island and the News 12 Long Island as traffic reporter. She began working for WNYW Fox 5 in the year 2011. She was the Entertainment reporter there. She has also served as entertainment host and traffic host on the show The PIX-11 Morning News.
Nicolini was a model before she started her broadcasting career. She tried to become the official live action model in 2001 for Vampirella, but was not successful. She also did minor roles in feature films. She has acted in television series like NBC’s Law & Order and Sex and City on HBO. She took part in the reality show on Fox, Married by America in the year 2003 and emerged as the winner, but did not get married.
Nicolini has received many awards during her career which include three Emmy award nominations, several awards from PBA of NJ state, John Theissen Children’s foundation, Italian American Police Society, Suffolk Community College Broadcasters Association and Autism Speaks, and The National Council of Columbia Associations of Civil Service.
Nicolini participated in the Miss Long Island 2002 contest when she was 24 years old and won the title. But the organizers of the contest did not approve of her having posed for Playboy magazine in 2001 and she relinquished her crown saying that she did not want to represent a system which did not believe or support her.
