John Francis Bongiovi Junior also known as Jon Bon Jovi was born on March 2, 1962 in the state of New Jersey. His father, John Francis Bongiovi Senior was a marine. His mother, Carol Sharkey was a former playboy bunny. She later turned into a florist. is the name of his mother. He is related to the legendary jazz singer, Frank Sinatra.

Bon Jovi sold newspapers as a kid when he was staying with his grandparents. During his teen years, he spent most of his time jamming and chasing his musical pursuits. His cousin, Tony Bongiovi, owned a popular recording studio in New York called The Power Station.

Paul Stanley had given Jon and Richie the telephone number of professional songwriter Desmond Child, and together they wrote two of the collection's greatest hits in Richie's folks' storm cellar. The trio made 30 melodies all together.

Bon Jovi’s solo album, Blaze of Glory was a massive hit. He has always been passionately involved with rock music which was displayed in his popular studio and live albums.

Bon Jovi has contributed time and funds to many charitable works. He made a huge donation to build homes in Philadelphia. This project was called Habitat for Humanity. He was a founding ambassador for the program and donated $1 million dollars to get the program started. He also donated $1 million dollars to the Oprah Winfrey Show. He also donated a million dollars in 2005 to Angel Network Foundation.
