She had extended family members that would often be left to her parents to take care of such as a cousin who had parents going through a rough time or a friend of a relative in need of a temporary home. Her mom was very kind and willing to take on any task for the family if they needed her to.

Career

Leanne’s supportive family life led to her caring deeply for animals like dogs. Her business was commanded by such a dedicated and focused individual. She got her nurturing qualities from her mom. She had an endless desire to care and help out. Her dad helped her develop energy and drive to create her own business. Her dad always told her that she could do anything, and while it was a common saying from parents to children, she always took it as something special and treated it as a wise note that helped shape her life.

Her friends and acquaintances thought that her gentle tone, steadiness, and warmth of communication reflected an inner peace she found with all of her dogs. A close friend said that when Leanne was caring for dogs, they enabled her to step out of time and stop ruminating about the past or worrying about the future. This might have enabled Leanne to find a harmony she couldn’t find in the rest of her life.

To run a successful dog walking business, one must be an avid dog lover and should also possess abilities such as attention to detail, experience, and a pure heart. Many of the people that surrounded Leanne feel that she possessed all of the necessary qualities. Her fun personality and nonstop care for animals helped create the business that was so successful. Many customers were quite surprised at the level of dedication she showed while caring for other people’s pets. They were amazed at her detail in letting them know if there were any issues with the dogs and what the dogs did each and every day.

Leanne not only walked dogs but also involved them in lots of activities such as hiking, swimming, running, and other active tasks. Leanne would provide a summary of each day to the client often consisting of photographs of parties, hikes, and special moments. She offered a full-service dog caring business that many felt showed her calm and warm-hearted side.

Marriage with Walton Goggins

Leanne moved to the United States after marrying Walton Goggins. She was excited to move to a new place while at the same time sad she had to leave home. Walton and Leanne got married in 2001 in Canada after dating for only one year. Many of their friends have mentioned they were meant for each other and often spent large amounts of time together.

Mental Issues and Death

Leanne passed away in 2004 from suicide. She jumped from the 17th story of a high rise office in Los Angeles. She didn't die right away after the incident and had to be rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. The nearby health clinic couldn't save her. She died of head injuries and internal bleeding. Prior to the day of her suicide, Leanne had handed Walton divorce papers to end their marriage. Reports suggested that she was suffering from chronic depression. Marriage issues between them were possibly worsened by her chronic depression.

Walton hasn’t said much on the issue but had hinted to friends that while the love was still there, it became quite difficult to do have the strong relationship they had in the past. It hurt Walton deeply that he and her family couldn’t help with her personal struggle with mental illness. He felt her downward spiral was very quick and the news of her suicide was quite shocking and confusing to himself and her family. According to reports, Leanne was not happy with her life in Los Angeles and Walton's busy professional life. Many around her were shocked at the news. She showed no signs of hating life or not wanting to be around. She only showed friendliness and gratitude for life and all its events.

A letter called In Loving Memory of Leanne Goggins by one of Leanne's dog walking clients revealed to the world that Leanne was not only passionate about her work but one of the best in the business. In the letter, the client stated that Leanne loved dogs and dogs loved Leanne. The client also mentioned that only a sound of Leanne's Jeep, which was red and black with no doors, as it came up the street her house would make her often silent dog whine, yelp, drool, shake, jump and scratch. The client also happily wrote in the letter that her dog was more attached to Leanne than her.

After Leanne passed, Walton was able to find love again. Since August 2011, the Emmy nominated actor has been married to a filmmaker named Nadia Conners. The happily married couple has a son named Augustus that was born in 2011. Walton has mentioned in an interview that Leanne always wanted kids and they had planned to have some before she passed.
