Personal life

Oliver Miller was born in Texas in the year 1970 on April 6th to his American parents. He was the only child of his parents. As his father was a football coach, he had developed keen interest in football since childhood. Though Miller took much interest in football, he loved all kinds of outdoor games. During his schooldays, when he was in sixth grade, he participated in an inter-school basketball competition. This competition was the first turning point in his life. It was Miller's gaming strategies due to which they won the basketball match. After this match, he received appreciation from his teachers, friends and parents and decided to shift his concentration to basketball. He started taking basketball training from a coach and participated in many matches.

When he completed his school education from Southwest school in Texas and joined the Arkansas College in the year 1988, he wanted to pursue his further career with basketball. But as his parents were completely against this decision, he had to continue with his education. Along with his college education, he also carried on his basketball training. He gave special attention to his fitness and came to be called as “The Big O” due to his 6 ft 9 in (127 kilograms) figure. Miller had experienced a long and successful career graph of twenty years so his estimated net worth is quite high, though no exact amount has been mentioned yet.

Career

After completing his graduation, he started his career as a basketball player with the Phoenix Suns. As he had a very impressive previous basketball history, he was given the chance. He played for continuous eight years with many NBA teams. He played with the Phoenix Suns from the year 1992 to 1994, with the Detroit Pistons from the year 1994 to 1995, with the Toronto Raptors from the year 1995 to 1996, with the Dallas Mavericks from the year 1996 to 1997 and with the Sacramento Kings from the year 1998 to 1999.

In the year 2002, he got an opportunity to play with the Indiana Pacers but left the team before the regular season started. Miller had an innovative playing style. He always played in the centre as he had very good passing and managing skills.

His peak game period was during the year 1995 to 1996. However, his career suffered in the later years as had to face many problems regarding his body weight which was 270 pounds when he started his career but increased to 380 pounds in the later years. This increase in weight later resulted in his loss of stamina which greatly affected her career.

In the year 2002, he was offered by the Roseto of Italy and after this he got a chance in the Continental Basketball Association. However, in the year 2011 he was accused of pistol whipping and was jailed for five long years in the Anne Arundel County Jail.
