Talking about his career, Peter played his first match for Victoria in the year 2011 and was one of the batsman in the top order. Peter scored his first century while playing a match against South Australia and since then he starting getting fame as a batsman. In 2012, he signed the contract for the team. Because of his amazing game in 2014, he was selected in Gloucestershire and later he was given the responsibilities of captain. This was in year 2016. The same year he made his debut in international game.

He played his first match against South Africa in November 2016 and his performance had been really commendable. He was known for his batting and that is the reason why he was mostly given a chance to bat in the beginning of the game. In his first series, Peter scored an impressive figure of 399 in four matches that he played. Out of these four matches, 3 matches were against Pakistan and one match was against South Africa. It is also known that Peter is the second Australian in the history of Australian Cricket to score at least 50 in first four matches of his career.

The next year. In 2017, Peter got a chance to show his batting skills in one day international. His first ODI was against Pakistan and the Pakistan lost because of Peter’s outstanding performance. As per the scorecards, Pakistan batted first and gave a target of 264. While chasing the target given by Pakistan, Peter scored 82 runs. He had been highly successful and this is just the beginning of his career. With century in most of his matches, he can be the next Virat Kohli. The audience love him for his skilful shots in the field and as a new face, he has a huge fan following.

Talking about the stats, Peter scored his careers highest score against Pakistan in a test match as well in a one day international. His score had been 110 and 82 respectively.
