Related Biography: Timothy Berners-Lee

He started his career by teaching at Baylor University and he taught the subjects of electrical as well as computer engineering. In 1977, he started working at University of Washington and he worked there till 2003. It is known that Robert was also the president of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Neural Network Council. Robert was also a member of Optical Society of America.

Talking about the contributions he made in his field, the list is endless. Some of the areas where Robert worked in are, one of the most crucial areas was the treatment of prostate cancer. It is known that Robert did it by making an algorithm which helped in placing radioactive seeds in the prostate which eventually healed cancer.

Robert also made a contribution in the field of optical detection by developing a technique where the optical signals could be detected without Gaussian noise. Robert also made a model forecast the power load. He used a neural network in the procedure and the main tool was a software called as MATLAB. It is known that he was the first person to use artificial intelligence for prediction of power demand.

Robert also helped in displaying the signals in time and frequency format. His team also worked in remote sensing and today, their work is the base of satellites which are used in remote sensing. He also developed a technique of transmitting the signals using a wireless array and the technique is used by NASA.

As per the information available, he also contributed for sampling theorem. Sampling theorem is used in the conversion of analog to a digital signal and the technique is used widely today in the field of communication. It is known that Robert also developed an optical computer. The advantage of the optical computer was that it was very fast as all the data was transmitted at the speed of light and all the calculations were also made at the same speed.

Robert is married and the name of his wife is Monika Marks. It is known that he also has children and the family lives together in the United States of America. Robert also believes in Christianity and he delivered several presentations on a topic which related Christianity and calculus. He gave a speech in several countries like Poland, Canada, Japan and even Russia. His total annual salary is not known but he surely earns a good salary because of his work in the field of electronics engineering. And at the same time, his net worth is also a secret.
