Roberto Martinez

Roberto was born on 13 July 1973. He was born in Catalonia in Spain. There is not much information about his parents and about his education but it is known that his childhood was spend in Spain. Roberto completed his bachelor in physiotherapy and talking about his post-graduation, he went to Manchester Metropolitan University where he received his degree in business management.

He led his team to victory in 179 matches out of 450 matches his team played and 124 resulted in draw and his win percentage has been 39.8% which is not very impressive.

Roberto also worked as a studio analyst for the coverage of FIFA World Cup. He was associated with ESPN during his broadcasting career and he also made a couple of appearance on Sky Sports as well as BBC. He received many honours during his career. Some of the awards that he received as player were ‘Football League Trophy’ and Copa Del Rey. He received Football League trophy twice during his playing career and as a manager he received FA Cup and Football League One.

It is known that Roberto led a bachelor’s life till 2009 and it was in 2009 when he decided to marry his long-time girlfriend Beth Thomson. The marriage was held like a traditional catholic wedding. After they got married, his wife gave birth to a daughter. The name of his daughter is Luella Martinez.
