Campbell’s acting career

Campbell’s acting career started at a mere age of 6, when she starred in an episode of ‘The Big Blue Marble’ in 1974. She continued to showcase her talents and even winning awards for them. She continued to appear in various other children’s shows such as ‘Kids Are People Too’, ‘Unicorn Tales’ and ‘Captain Kangaroo’. Her time with ‘Martin’ costar, Tichina Arnold, started long before the said show came along. At the age of 18, Campbell and Arnold performed in a musical feature film.

TV shows and feature films weren’t her only gigs. She starred in various music videos, the most famous ones being Will Smith’s ‘Will 2K’ and ‘Wild Wild West’.

Her singing career

Tisha released an album that went by her name on the 4th of January, 1993. It peaked the US Heat, standing at a position of #37. She has since released numerous singles, the latest one being ‘Lazy Bitch’ that was released just last year.

Campbell’s accomplishments

Campbell is a proud member of the American Film Institute. One of her greatest feats however, would have to be her own produced film ‘A Luv Tale’ winning several awards. She was nominated for various awards, but she won an Image Award in the year 2003, for being the Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. She won the same award in another ceremony, the BET Comedy Award, 2004.

Her problems with costar Martin Lawrence

In the years 1992 to 1997, Campbell starred in ‘Martin’ alongside Martin Lawrence. Their journey, however, came to an end in 1996 when she filed a case against Lawrence stating that she was harassed, physically and verbally. HBO Studies settled the case and Tisha agreed to complete the season only if she and Martin were not on the same scene. It was said that Tisha and Lawrence were having an affair in the past and Lawrence fell in love with her.
