Wayne Parnell

Wayne was born on 30 July 1980 and he was born in Port Elizabeth in South Africa. It is known that he completed his education in South Africa and he also grew up in South Africa itself. There not much of information available about his family. It is known that Wayne completed his schooling from Grey High School in South Africa and he later enrolled for graduation at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Wayne started his career in 2006 with a match against South Western District. His performance was really commendable. Owing to his excellent performance, Wayne was honoured with the award of Coca –Cola Khaya Majola Player of the Tournament in Under 19 category.

Later in 2008, he made his debut in international cricket as he was picked for the Under 19 World Cup Team of South Africa. His performance in the tournament was amazing and he scored 18 wickets with an economy of somewhere around 8.38. After the tournament, his popularity grew and he was selected for the One Day International as well as the T 20 team. It is known that he is among one of the youngest cricket player to sign a contract with CSA. Later in 2009, Wayne was selected for ICC World Twenty 20. He played brilliantly in the tournament and led his team to victory in many of the matches. He also received his first man of the match after his performance in the match against West Indies. He too 4 wickets and let of only 13 runs. Wayne was also honoured with Golden Ball for taking the highest number of Wickets in the tournament.

In 2010, Wayne was auctioned in IPL and he was chosen by Delhi Daredevils. He played for the team in the IPL in 2014 and it is known that prior to playing for Delhi Daredevils, he played for Deccan Chargers and made a lot of contribution in the team which helped both the teams in winning a lot of matches. Until now, Wayne received 4 man of the match award in ODI. He got these awards against Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Zimbabwe and he received one Man of the March in T20 cricket which he received while playing in the ICC World Cup

In 2016, Wayne married his long-time girlfriend, Alisha Baker. The marriage ceremony held in a mosque in Cape Town. It is known that his wife works as a fashion blogger and a lot of pictures surfaced on social media. The couple looks adorable. It is also known that Wayne converted his religion to Islam because of his interest in the religion. It is also known that Wayne supports a lot of social causes and one such organization he support extensively is PETA. It is estimated that Wayne earns around 94 thousand USD annually and as per some of the estimates, his net worth is 8 Million USD but again there is no specific information about his net worth as he never made it public.
