Xavier Doherty was born in the city of Scottsdale in Tasmania in 1982. He is a cricketer of Australian origins and his bowling style is left-arm orthodox spin. Domestically, he plays for Tasmania while internationally, he plays for Australia. He is left-handed batsman with a slow left arm orthodox bowler. After playing one-day successfully under Tasmania, he started to play for One Day International Debut under Australia while playing at Melbourne Cricket ground against Sri Lanka.
