Merritt Wever is known as an American actress. She is most famous for her roles in Nurse Jackie, Godless, and, Unbelievable.
Merritt Carmen Wever was born on August 11, 1980 in Manhattan, New York. She was raised by her mom Georgia Wever who bore her through a sperm donor. She grew up going to socialist day camps since her mom was a radical liberal and she instructed her to be politically progressive. She graduated from LaGuardia High School and after that went to Sarah Lawrence College after which she joined an acting school to build up her acting abilities.
Wever was trained in acting in New York and her first appearance was as Lottie in the TV motion picture Blue River. She has additionally performed in theater productions, including a performance in Brooke Berman's play, Smashing, and in Cavedweller with Deidre O'Connell, both off-Broadway. Different movies she was featured in include Into the Wild, Neal Cassady, Michael Clayton, Series 7: The Contenders, Signs, and The Adventures of Sebastian Cole.
She took up the character as the positive youthful Zoey Barkow in Nurse Jackie, for which she won an award for in 2013. She later played a character known as Denise Cloyd on AMC's The Walking Dead, Merritt's role as Denise Cloyd in the dystopian horror TV series The Walking Dead (2015–2016) was astounding. The TV series was created by Frank Darabont and was based on the popular zombie comics. One of the most controversial episodes in the series encompasses the passing of Denise, a doctor positioned in Alexandria and sweetheart to Tara, a survivor introduced in season four. Television series fans appeared to be angry and disappointed at the passing of the prominent lesbian character, Denise starting the utilization of the hashtag #BuryYourGays. A few fans still consider Denise's to be as part of a bigger social figure of speech of the unjustifiable executing of gay and lesbian characters on TV series of which "The Walking Dead" isn't the first offender. Fans were offended that the homosexual characters always seemed to get killed off quickly.
In September 2019, a new show about rape called Unbelievable was released on Netflix. Wever has a leading role in the new show as a character named Karen Duvall.
Wever is in a relationship with a writer and director named Noah Buschel who she met in 2009. They are not married yet but their close friends expect to hear wedding bells soon.
