Miss Barbra Streisand was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1942. Barbra was one of three children – her older brother Sheldon and her half sister Roslyn born from her mother’s second marriage. Streisand began singing in nightclubs as a teenager and then moved onto acting in films and later to Broadway. Her first television appearance was in 1961 on the Tonight Show. Also that same year, she had some controversial appearances on TV. She was pinned as very self absorbed.
