Blanca Soto achieved early prominence due to her distinctive beauty and elegance. Representing her hometown, she competed in the national beauty contest, Nuestra Belleza México, where she won the title of Nuestra Belleza Mundo México, earning the opportunity to represent Mexico at the Miss World pageant. She also participated in the Festival de Viña del Mar in Chile as part of her international appearances.

Soto's modeling career includes work with a variety of high-profile brands. She appeared in print and television campaigns for companies such as GAP, LensCrafters, Venus Swimwear, Foley’s, Yellowbook, Zara, and Budweiser. Her adaptability allowed her to successfully promote a wide range of products—from eyewear and casual wear to swimwear and beverage brands. Soto debuted in film with the 2007 short film Tampa Jai Alai. That same year, she co-starred in and co-executive produced La Vida Blanca, a short film directed and written by her then-husband, actor Jack Hartnett. Collaborating on this project gave Soto practical production experience and deepened her involvement in filmmaking beyond acting. Instead of straining their relationship, the professional collaboration with Hartnett reportedly strengthened their connection, allowing Blanca to gain insights into behind-the-scenes film production.

She continued to build her filmography with roles in various projects. In 2008, she was cast in the comedy Divina Confusión, followed by an appearance in the 2009 film Deep in the Valley. In 2010, she starred in two films: Regresa and La Cena. Her most notable recent film role was in the 2014 movie Un Reino sin Fronteras.
