Samantha Armytage

In the year 2004 December, Samantha first expelled her significant role as a presenter of Seven News Sydney in the summer during the non-rating time. Following this, Samantha had the stints featuring the Seven Morning News Bulleting and the Seven News Sydney. During the year 2005 – 2006, she appeared as the regular presenter of Friday and weekend Seven News Sydney. In 2006, she replaced Mike Amor taking his slot on Seven 4.30 News and then replaced Rebecca Maddern as a presenter when the network moved from Melbourne to Sydney.

Her career continued to grow when in 2007, Samantha was appointed to co-anchor the weekend sunrise sharing the screen with Andrew O’Keefe replacing Lisa Wilkson who had moved to Today on Nine Network. In 2011 she participated as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars as she continued to file reports for Sunday Night. During this time she served as a fill-in broadcaster on Sunrise, Today Tonight and The Morning Show.

In June of 2013, it was announced that Samantha would be the replacement for Sunrise in place of co-host Melissa Doyle. Later that year in September, her position advanced as co-host of Sunrise beside David Koch. In 2014 she presented the reality TV show Bringing Sexy back. It was then in 2016, a Sex and The City themed skit on Sunrise with the actress Kristen Davis where the interview was anything but well done, it was near disaster. Davis, the interviewed actor, had come to discuss her work with UNCHR, the UN Refugee Agency, in hopes to promote its cause but Sunrise only wanted to focus on her role in Sec and The City. Later she twittered about her annoyance with the company. It was after this that despite Samantha having been previously invited to conduct a Q&A at a UN hosted event was then politely asked not to attend the even at all.
