One theory is that Abrams' new mystery man is her co-host of The Weather Channel Jim Cantone. Since he's a single divorcee and the fact that Abrams posts pictures of Cantone a little more than other men, to some, is reasons to believe he may be the one. This lead Abrams to clear the air to her follows that her and Jim are just friends and in fact, Jim has been dating CNN reporter Andrea Butera since 2010 putting and end to that theory.

While studying in Florida State University, Abrams took part in on air forecasts on the student run weather and news production FSU Live, which is part of Tallahassee cable channel. She also taught meteorology while working as teacher’s assistant at the university. Her first meteorologist job was at WTXL, an ABC affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida. She joined The Weather Channel from 7 to 10 p.m in the year 2003. In the year 2005, she anchored the new program ‘Weekend View’ which provided in the field reports on weather conditions. In 2009, Abrams co-hosted the show ‘Wake Up with Al’ alongside NBC’s Al Roker weekday mornings from 6-7 AM then joined Mike Bettes from 7-10 AM ET on 'Your Weather Today'.

Stephanie has covered Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver among others. She also for a short time was an interim weather anchor for Weekend Today. Abrams is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) between 2002 and 2003 – a position Abrams held for one year as well as holding the seal of approval from the AMS.

Important Assignments

Abrams provided in-depth reporting on the hurricanes during 2004 and 2005, especially the hurricane Katrina. Her important assignments include providing on the scene reports on weather conditions in some of the major sporting events like The Kentucky Derby, The Daytona 500, Major League Baseball Spring training, and The Chicago Marathon. She has also reported on the New York floods, heat wave in Missouri, tornadoes in Illinois, ice storm in the Southeast, and the snowstorms in the North-eastern regions.

Abrams has received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from University of Florida and was the commencement speaker at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She was also awarded the Outstanding Young Alumnus of the year 2006. Stephanie Abrams has also appeared as guest on shows like CNN Showbiz Tonight, Entertainment Tonight, and The Geraldo Rivera Show.
