The developed world is preoccupied with cancer, which appears to be a diagnosis of more and more people. Celebrities are neither an exception. Giuliana Rancic
Giuliana Rancic, an American celebrity with Italian roots, in one of her interviews said that she has a breast cancer at an early stage. For that, she said in 2012, she would have needed to undergo a lumpectomy and radiation procedures. In the autumn in the year 2011, the TV star overcame the surgery and got to work.
However, the surgery did not heal her cancer, and so later Giuliana Rancic said that she needed to undergo a double mastectomy, a far more complicated operation. The medication caused a significant loss of weight in the star, and she said that she does not like it also, but cannot do anything. Her fight against the cancer is going on.
Tom Brokaw
A terrifyingly popular anchor and journalist Tom Brokaw find out that he had multiple myeloma, a specific type of cancer, in August 2013. It is not the thing one may wish to hear at the age of 74.
However, the medication and physical treatments helped him quite well, and he continued to combine the treatments with his work. In one of his shows that took place at the end of 2014, he happily announced that the cancer was in full remission.
Brooke Burke
Brooke Burke, an American model, dancer, and actress, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when she was just 41 years old. Yet, all has finished fine for her: at the end of 2012 she made another statement about her health affairs, saying that all her cancer had been deleted.
Andy Whitfield
Andy Whitfield, a renowned Welsh actor best known for his role in the “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” TV series, discovered that he had non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the spring in the year 2010. He immediately started to undergo a cancer treatment.
In the summer of the same year, the actor announced that he had got rid of the cancer. However, the subsequent medical checkup showed that he had suffered a relapse. He attempted to fight against the cancer, but could not get over it: Andy Whitfield ended his days on 11th September in the year 2011.
Sheryl Crow
Sheryl Crow, an American singer and actress, once dated Lance Armstrong who survived cancer. Shortly after their breakup in 2006, Sheryl Crow was diagnosed with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ), a type of breast cancer. Then, Crow had to resort to lumpectomy and a long period of radiation treatment. After the actress underwent the operation and seven-weeks-long treatment, supposed her cancer was in the stage of full remission.
In the autumn in the year 2011, however, the actress with diagnosed with a meningioma, which is a type of brain tumor that usually appears to be benign. She decided not to resort to an operation but have regular checkups.
