Glastonbury Festival 2015

Glastonbury Festival is a five day music festival that takes place in England. It hosts dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and several other arts. (Wikipedia).

The Glastonbury Festival is for England what Coachella is for West America and this year it took place from the 24th until the 28th of June. The whole showbiz (with practically no exceptions) wore galoshes and furs (obviously that’s how people dress during the summer in England) to attend the five day festival.

Almost everyone (from the English celebrity cycles) was there. Now we have narrowed down for you, some of the most interesting appearances that did not go unnoticed.

Alexa Chung dressed with opaque tights and galoshes her wonderful legs and she met Cara and Poppy Delevingne. On the last day of the festival she wore a white dress with….galoshes of course! (Before you rush to make fun of the peculiar fashion that generally dominates in England, keep in the back of your head that the weather is the number one reason that forbids people over there – and especially celebrities – to make more bold and fashionable appearances).

Cara Delevingne left from Taylor Swift’s concert along with Kendal Jenner and the two of them went to Glastonbury. Pppy Delevingne wore an impressive coat with fringes and Suki Waterhouse honoured the classic festival style with tie dye fringes and a hot pair of shorts!

Furthermore, Lionel Richie led a 100,000-strong karaoke session on Sunday as Glastonbury festival-goers sang along to a string of his hits, including “Easy” and “Dancing On The Ceiling”. Richie (who is now 66 years old) only had to sing half of the lyrics to his popular song “Hello” and the audience filled in the gaps with excitement, while “All Night Long” turned a muddy field soaked within south-west England into a carnival.

Other celebrities spotted on the festival were Ms Lauren Lindsay who commented “It was pure entertainment”, US singer and songwriter Patti Smith, Dalai Lama – who received a rendition of "Happy Birthday" to mark his 80th birthday next month while he added: "Dear brothers and sisters, I really appreciate so many people's expression of warmth” – and Kanye West.

With all those celebrities giving extraordinary performances, one after the other, you can easily understand that it didn’t long for the crowd to bring everything down, out of pure excitement.

So after the end of the festival, a major clean-up operation was set up, with more than 177,000 people making their way home  and workers having to pick up hundreds of laughing gas canisters and balloons.

Somewhere among all those funny or weird (or both) incidents that happened during the Glastonbury festival, there is a picture with Police officers posing for a photograph with a festival goer who had fallen asleep in his camping chair. One of the officers said: 'Last night's celebrations proved just too much for some! Don't worry though, he is just asleep - officers have spoken to him'.

A lot went down and those five days will definitely remain unforgettable as a life time experience to most of the people from the crowd. Until next year!
