Family Background and Early Career Challenges

Aaron's father initially hoped he would join the family business—a gold retail store. However, after one of Aaron's brothers took over the business, his father allowed him to pursue a career in entertainment. Early in his professional life, Aaron worked briefly as junior staff at King Fook Gold & Jewellery Co. Ltd., but he was dismissed in 1984 after an extended sick leave. Following his departure from the company, he enrolled in a dancer training program at TVB, marking the beginning of his entertainment career at the age of 19.

Breakthrough in Television and Modeling

TVB's training academy provided a critical platform for Aaron, where he began appearing in music videos and performing with other singers. His career advanced significantly when he transitioned into acting, participating in a number of TVB dramas. In 1990, Kwok appeared in a Honda motorcycle commercial that gained immense popularity in Taiwan, significantly boosting his public profile, especially among young female fans.
