Aaron Stanford

Aaron Stanford is a Hollywood actor born in Westford, Massachusetts on 27th December 1976. His parents are Judith and Don Stanford and he has a brother named David who is a musician. He completed his high school in Westford Academy where he was introduced to his first acting teacher. He acted in theatre in a major role, playing Alan Strang in "Equus". The play was directed by Michael Towers at the Roudenbush Community Center in Westford. He has acted in more than twenty movies and TV shows from 2002 till date.

Aaron Stanford's first important movie role was in a low budget film called Tadpole which was released in 2002. He essayed the character of Oscar Grubman, a mature fifteen year old boy with a crush on his stepmother. This was a coming-of-age movie where in Stanford falls in love with his step-mother since he is more mature than his age and finds the girls of his age group inexperienced. His performance in this movie was lauded and many felt that he could become one of the greats. The movie was received well and scored good reviews. He was also nominated for the Golden Satellite Award for his performance in the same.

During the years 2001 and 2002 he appeared a few times in the TV show Third Watch. He was cast as a Russian teen Sergei. He was also chosen as the "Top Ten Actors to Watch" by the Daily Variety magazine.

Aaron Stanford's role in Tadpole had impressed many people and one of them was Bryan Singer, who had directed the blockbuster movie X-Men in the year 2000. He cast Stanford in the role of “Pyro” in the superhit movie, “X2” or “X-Men 2” which was the sequel of X-Men. This was one of his major movies in which he played a negative character. He reprised the role of “Pyro” in the third installment of the series “X-Men: The Last Stand”, released in the year 2006.

In the year 2006, he was cast as Doug Bukowski in the remake of the 1977 horror movie "The Hills Have Eyes" with the same name. Even though the movie received mixed reviews it was a commercial success. In the same year he was also awarded the "One To Watch" award at the Young Hollywood Awards.

Stanford has appeared in another superhit TV show “Nikita” playing the role of Seymour Birkhoff as a talented computer genius and a hacker. His other notable performances include the role of John Rudgate in the movie “Live Free or Die” which was a Comedy, a troubled poker genius in an episode of Season 8 of the TV Show “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” in the year 2009. His character from the movie "The Hills Have Eyes" has been shown in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Zombies Mode. He also provided the voice over for the character Private Polonsky in the game Call of Duty: World at War in the year 2008.
