Background

Born in London, England, Amanda Pays is the daughter of the entertainment agent and actor Howard Pays and former actress Jan Miller. An auntie of hers, Mandy Miller, won fame and distinction as a young star of the '50s film Crash of Silence (1952) .

When she was eight years old, Pays began school at a convent close to home and it was there that she started to display her initial skills as an actress. Having a particularly harsh and throaty voice, she was constantly thrown in the male role in the all-young ladies school plays. At her mom's recommendation, Amanda sent a Polaroid picture to a modeling agent and immediately wound up getting a piece out of a fruitful career which, for the following four years, took her around the globe.

Career

At the age of twenty two, she all of a sudden she tired of the stress and requirements of the modeling world and chose to hop into the acting field. She went to learn the craft at London's Academy of Live and Recorded Arts so that she could prepare for her new career.
