Amanda Peterson was born on July 8, 1971, Greeley, Colorado. She is the last born in a group of three kids. She has a sister named Ann-Marie Peterson and a brother named Rev. Jim Peterson. Her mom, Sylvia Peterson was a full-time mother and housewife and her father James Peterson was a medical doctor. Amanda passed away on July 3, 2015 in her hometown of Greeley, Colorado.

Career

With an unlimited sense of wonder, amazing appeal and a unique identity this capable and really talented actress started her career in the movie industry at the young age of nine-and-a-half, with the classic movie Annie (1982), directed by Academy Award winner John Huston. To partake in "Annie", she needed to convince her mom that she could do it and it was her dream. After getting her mom’s approval, she participated in an audition which included over 8000 young ladies vying for the role.

In the early 80s, Amanda had roles on TV shows like Father Murphy (1981), Silver Spoons (1982) and Boone (1983). Her career took off in the mid 80s when she started to be cast in romantic comedy films.
