On July 29, 2019, Vasilevskiy signed an eight-year, $76 million contract extension with the Lightning, securing his place with the team through the 2027–28 season. He continued to deliver standout performances, including a record-setting 61-save game in a five-overtime win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on August 11, 2020—the most saves by a Lightning goaltender in a single playoff game.
Vasilevskiy also surpassed both Ben Bishop and Nikolai Khabibulin for the most postseason wins in franchise history. On September 28, 2020, he earned his first career playoff shutout in the Stanley Cup-clinching Game 6 against the Dallas Stars. With that performance, he joined Tom Barrasso as one of the only goaltenders in NHL history to record a shutout in a Stanley Cup Final clinching game. He also set an NHL record for most postseason minutes played by a goaltender in a single playoff year, logging 1,708 minutes and 12 seconds.
Andrei Vasilevskiy is married to his longtime partner, Kseniya Vasilevskaya. The couple has one son, Lukas. While Kseniya has embraced aspects of the American lifestyle, she prefers to maintain a low public profile. Although she occasionally attends games at Amalie Arena, she generally avoids media attention.
The couple places a strong emphasis on privacy, choosing to keep their family life out of the spotlight. Kseniya spends much of her time at home with their son, and both she and Andrei are committed to protecting their family's personal space from public scrutiny.
