Entry into the NFL
On January 7, 2010, Brown announced he would forgo his senior season at Central Michigan to enter the 2010 NFL Draft. He was selected in the sixth round, 195th overall, by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown made his regular-season debut on September 19, 2010, against the Tennessee Titans. In that game, he tallied 128 return yards, including an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the opening play, showcasing his explosive special teams abilities.
