The latest of the Wahlbergs’ success was “Wahlburgers”, an original reality TV series of A&E starring the family as their personal and professional lives in Boston are chronicled. The series revolves around Arthur’s brother Paul and his attempt to expand his hamburger restaurant business. Arthur himself supported his brother’s project by appearing in 2 episodes called “Grand Opening, Eh?” in 2015 and the “4th of July Special” in 2014. The series has aired since 2014 and has been nominated as “Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program” two years in a row (2014 and 2015) at the Emmy Awards.
In an interview with the Observer, a television producer named Rasha Drachkovitch spoke about the process behind the development of Wahlburgers, the reality TV show that features Arthur and his famous family. Rasha, the owner of 44 Blue Productions contacted Mark Wahlberg about collaborating together on a show about the Wahlberg family.
Rasha had no idea what he was getting into, “This all started with an article that I read about Mark and Donnie opening a restaurant in Boston. So we reached out to them thinking, ‘What are the chances?’ But, I was able to secure a meeting with Mark and his first response to the idea was, ‘Do you really think people would be interested in this?’ I said ‘Absolutely! You’ve conquered music and film and television and now you’re taking on the restaurant business. ‘He replied to that with, ‘Well, you have to get to up here to meet the family and all of the other knuckleheads that populate our lives.’”
The Wahlberg family were very eager to get started, “Then he tells me he wants me to go the very next day and to be honest, I didn’t really know where Hingham, Massachusetts was, but the next thing I knew I was flying to the Boston area to meet the whole Wahlberg clan.”
The main thing Rasha had to do was gain the trust of the family, “Once I got through that, a level of trust between myself and the family was born and it’s been great ever since. But, it certainly wasn’t an overnight thing, it took two years from concept to the airing of the first episode, but that’s ok because the investment is paying off now.”
Arthur has managed to keep his personal life a well-guarded secret despite his family’s popularity. Arthur surely is a celebrated personality who is known for his appearances on screen as an actor in several roles. However, details about his personal life has not been leaked out to his fans around the world.
He was recently engaged to his finance, Jennifer but he currently has no children. Arthur may have no children of his own but is delighted to have 23 nieces and nephews.
