Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican Latin trap and reggaeton singer who was born on March 10, 1994, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the United States. His birth name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio and he is known by the stage name Bad Bunny. He grew up with two brothers and has aspired to become a singer since he was five. Bad Bunny attended the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo where he studied audiovisual communication. He started off working as a bagger at a supermarket called Econo. Bad Bunny began releasing his own music as an independent artist on SoundCloud where he had several popular songs such as "Diles" and "Soy Peor". Bad Bunny became a forerunner in the Latin American trap scene and his song "Soy Peor" reached number 22 on the Hot Latin Songs chart.
In 2017, he signed a booking deal with Cardenas Marketing Network to appear in several countries in Latin America.
