Being born in the state of New York, Bonnie always has had a passion for reporting. This interest of hers sparked when she was really young and she attended the Boston University where she got her degree in journalism. She was into meteorological reporting and she pursued this affliction of hers at the State University of New York at Sony Brook. She would later attend the Hunter College in Manhattan as well.

Professional career

It’s safe to say that Schneider’s professional career kicked off when she got to be a weekend meteorologist in Lake Charles, located in the state of Louisiana at KPLC-TV. She got a head start by covering the Hurricane Sandy for the well known and reputable Bloomberg Television. At the time she worked at the TV station’s headquarters in New York City. At that time she was also asked to take part of a panel for a live chat for the live edition of the Huffington Post in order to provide her forecast and analysis on the storm. This was done in an interview with Mike Huckabee who was a former governor of the state of Arkansas. The interview was played on a national radio show.

Bonnie is also developing her career as a publicist and she is the co-executive producer as well as an expert on extreme weather for a special airing on the DIY Network which has the name Last House Standing. The show focuses on providing enough information to home owners on how to properly enhance their houses in order to prepare them for heavy storms, earthquakes as well as tornados. The show was filmed in California as well as Alabama and Florida.
