One of his most memorable experiences during his speech giving days was during a seminar related to focus. He talked about how he had to go above and beyond the normal level of focus and almost force himself to become more demanding on himself. He mentions the only way to improve one self is to honest with one self, enjoying the fruits of your labor along with realizing that you are not perfect in any way, shape or form. Brandel has gave interviews where he felt one of the worst attributes to have is one where you feel you have done it all and see no improvements possible nor needed. He says it limits you, because you’re not looking at yourself as being in need of advice, and that your doings are already perfect. No matter who you are, this is never the case.

He give an anecdotal story of a friend of his who was actually a very good golfer, and they often played together. He didn’t have too much discipline however, and over time he saw his friends level of play dwindle down to a level that would never get him into major tournament play. He said his friend was to set in his ways and not open to change and improve himself, whether it was improving his stroke or metering his energy in related to the full tournament. He mentions his friend losing steam during tournaments, and focusing on just one hole during play, instead of all of them. The friend would often burn himself out power wise, and play lackluster in the later holes, and by the early 2nd half of a 18 round set would should a sharpen decline in hole prowess.

Chamblee has been known to blame enemies for their problems on social media platform like Twitter. Individuals blamed him for attempting to get money from these undertakings. He has said that he has been paid compensation to have and give a supposition and he tries to shape them in a way that can be educational to him and the people involved. His earnings total to $4 million amid his PGA Tour.
