Marriage to Bob Costas

Carole Randy, whose full name is Carole Randall Krummenacher, was the first wife of American sportscaster Bob Costas. The couple married in 1983 and shared a marriage that lasted nearly two decades before divorcing in 2001. During their time together, they had two children: Taylor and Keith.

Bob Costas: Early Life and Education

Bob Costas, born Robert Quinlan Costas in 1952, is a renowned American sportscaster best known for his work with NBC Sports. He was born in Queens, New York, and holds American nationality. He attended Commack High School in Suffolk County, New York, and later earned his degree from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Known for his articulate broadcasting style and deep knowledge of sports, Costas has built an outstanding reputation in the field. Standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, he is especially recognized for his eloquent television presentations and engaging on-air presence.

Broadcasting Career and Rise to Prominence

Costas began his broadcasting career while still attending Syracuse University, working as an announcer for the minor league hockey team, the Syracuse Blazers. At the age of 22, he joined KMOX in St. Louis, where he co-hosted a call-in program known as Open Line.

In 1976, he began working with CBS Sports as a play-by-play announcer, focusing on regional NFL and NBA coverage. This role lasted for three years, during which he further developed his professional reputation.
