Chad Michael Murray was born in 1981, August 24 in Buffalo, New York. His father is named Rex and is an air traffic controller whereas Chad's mother left when the boy was still at a very young age. This is one of the main reason why Murray decided to take one of his most famous roles as Lucas Scott. The actor has five siblings – a sister, a half-brother and three brothers. Dan has the blood of Swiss, Polish, and German in his veins. While growing up and looking for a path in his life Chad went to Clarence High School. The boy became interested in literature and was playing football in his free time. While doing sports he was in an accident which caused him to break his nose. Since this happened there were numerous stories about him receiving a plastic surgery but the actor clarified it during one of his interviews by telling the whole story. He said that he hates when people keep saying that he had a nose work because that is simply not true.
Career
Chad began his acting career in 1999 when he got to do some modeling work for the likes of Skechers and Gucci. His acting started with getting a role in Gilmore Girls as Tristan DuGrey. He was one of the main characters of the first season and had appearances in later seasons. In 2001, he was cast in Dawson's Creek, a teen drama on the WB. Chad's character Charlie Todd was in 12 episodes in the show's fifth season. However, the role Chad Michael is most famous for is without a doubt that of a Lucas Scott. This was in the WB's successful drama One Tree Hill and Chad's character was one of the main ones in the show. He was a lead role in the first six seasons and had a special appearance in season 9 when the show was on a different network. Chad is also credited with directing and writing one of the episodes. Since One Tree Hill Michael appeared in a couple different TV shows but he did not have any memorable roles. The actor also was in a few movies but none of them were a big success.
Chad also does a lot of different work outside the show business. He has a design and branding company called Dribbble. He is also an owner of a hair styling salon in Eugene, Oregon.
Personal life and trivia
The actor got married to Sophia Bush in 2005 but got a divorce after one year of marriage. Since then Murray dated quite a few women but in 2015, he decided it was time for another wedding. He got married a second time, this time to Sarah Roemer. The two got a son in the end of spring of 2015.
The actor revealed that he has a weakness for cocktails. Tom Collins is his favorite drink.

In 2006, Chad was nominated for a Prism Award for his work in One Tree Hill. He has 5 Teen Choice Awards for his various works and a couple of more nominations in different categories.
