Chrissy Teigen was born Christine Diane Teigen on November 30, 1985, in Delta, Utah, United States. Her father is of Norwegian descent, while her mother is Thai. This mixed heritage contributes to her distinctive appearance, blending both Western and Asian features. She was raised in a modest household—her father worked as an electrician, and as a teenager, she held various part-time jobs. It was during one of these jobs at a surf shop in California that a photographer discovered her, leading to the launch of her modeling career.

Teigen began her professional modeling career in 2004 when she became an IGN Babe. Her career gained momentum as she appeared on the covers and pages of numerous fashion publications, including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Galore, Ocean Drive, and Italian Vogue. From 2010 to 2014, she featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues. Notably, she appeared on the cover of the magazine’s 50th anniversary issue in 2014 alongside models Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge.
