Craig Bierko was born on 18th December 1964 in New York to parents Rex Bierko and Pat Bierko. His decency is Polish and Ashkenazi. He spent his childhood with his siblings in New York. He was very inclined towards acting since his childhood. When a kid he often used to perform at different stage shows in schools as well as in parties. He did his high schooling from a local high school from where he graduated in 1982. He later got enrolled at Boston University. He started to study broadcast journalism in School of Public Communications. Due to certain reasons he has to move to Northern University School of Speech. He earned his bachelor degree in theater arts in 1986. His talent and good looks earned him a role in the TV series Roomies. He played the role of Dale in the series. His acting was praised by viewers as well as critics. The same year he got a role in the TV series Our House and ABC Afterschool Specials. His first break in a movie came in Love Note in 1987 which wasn’t a hit at the box office. He continued to do shows from time to time, such as Wings, The Powers That Be. In 1996 he played a role as Max Baer in the movie The Long Kiss Goodnight.
This was a time when he started dating the famous actress Charlize Theron. She is an actress from south Africa mostly known for doing movies such as The Italian Job, Hancock, A Million Ways to Die in West. The couple was together for almost years before splitting due to some unknown reasons. He later started dating Janeane Garofalo who is also an American actress. In 2000 he was nominated for the Theater World Award and won it in the first nominations. This, however, was not just the luck as he is an immensely talented actor and got what he deserved. The same year he was nominated for Outer Critics Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He, however, didn’t win this awards but was praised for his great acting and on screen presence. Later that year he was honored with the sexiest Broadway star by the People Magazine.
Besides acting Bierko has also tried his hand at music but it didn’t go as well as he hoped it would. He was contacted for a role in the famous TV series F.R.I.E.N.D.S but he rejected it. The series went on to become one of the best and well-known shows in the TV history. Calling this rejection, a bad decision would be an understatement. Bierko has also featured in many musicals such as To Be or Not to Be. In 2009 he starred in the Broadway Guys and Dolls which was first performed on 5 February 2009.
