On the ABC/CBS television sitcom Family Matters, McCrary played Edward "Eddie" Winslow, the oldest child of Carl and Harriette Winslow, from 1989 until 1998. McCrary's other significant appearances include Scam in the 1987 comedy picture Big Shots, in which he made his cinematic debut. In the 2007 Transformers reboot, he gave the voice of Jazz.
