Dianne Dreyer

Born on August 8, 1956, in Lynbrook, Long Island, New York, she has lived much of her personal life away from the spotlight. Limited public information is available about her early years, including details about her family, education, or what initially sparked her interest in the film industry. Despite this, she managed to successfully carve out a place in both acting and behind-the-scenes film production.

Film Acting Career

She made her acting debut in 1996 with a minor role as Jennifer in the film Michael. Two years later, she appeared as a shopper in the romantic comedy You've Got Mail (1998). After a break from acting, she returned in 2005 to play the role of a production staff assistant in Bewitched. Her final on-screen role came in 2009, portraying an American housewife in the film Julie & Julia.

Though her acting career was brief and largely consisted of supporting roles, she attracted a modest following, appreciated for her subtle performances and professional presence on screen.

Script Supervisor Career

Before stepping in front of the camera, she had already established a career as a script supervisor, beginning in 1990 with the film Tune in Tomorrow.... Her early work included projects such as The Hard Way (1991), Consenting Adults and Glengarry Glen Ross (both 1992).

1993 was a prolific year, with credits on four major films: What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, The Pelican Brief (not "The Pelican Belief"), Six Degrees of Separation, and Mr. Wonderful. Her résumé as a script supervisor spans more than two decades and includes well-known films such as Nell (1994), Outbreak (1995), The English Patient (1996), Air Force One (1997), City of Angels (1998), The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Unbreakable (2000), Vanilla Sky (2001), Unfaithful (2002), Pieces of April (2003), World Trade Center (2006), Dan in Real Life (2007), The Tourist and Salt (both 2010), and Margaret (2011).
