Alison Sweeney did not limit her fame only as a reality actress, but she is also a director, an author and a well accomplished reality show host. She was born on September 19, 1976 as the middle child and has two brothers – elder Sten and Ryan. Her first debut was at the tender age of five when she appeared in a Kodak advertisement. On 1986, she appeared in an episode of Tales from the Darkside, just a few years after the advertisement. She played the role of a small girl Karen, and she could figure when someone will take their last breath just moments from their death. Two years later in 1988, she got opportunity to work on Family man, though it was short lived. The following year she was casted on Brand New Life, which aired in 1986. The coming years were tough as she had to struggle with her weight. Being a US size 12, she was not obese but she was definitely larger than most of the other television-costars with whom she worked. These tough times between her frustration and struggle have been documented in her memoir All the Days of My Life, which hit the market in 2004.
She was also a part of the game show Fear Factor in 2002. Following that, she frequently appeared in other shows such as Friends. She took back to co-hosting in 2007 when she worked for Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon as a co-host for the live television broadcast. On January 2014, she announced on The Ellen Degeneres Show that after 21 years of dedication starting from 1993, she would now no longer work with Days of Our Lives. She added that she wanted to spend more time with her family as well as concentrate more on her show The Biggest Loser which she joined in 2007. She earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination, four Soap Opera Digest Awards and a Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award for Days of Our Lives. Her first novel, The Star Attraction was released in May 2013, with her second novel Scared Scriptless: A Novel dated to release on June 2014.
She married David Alan Sanov on July 8, 2000. They have two children, a son and a daughter. Benjamin Edward Sanov, the elder was born on February 25, 2005 while Megan Hope was born on January 12, 2009. Despite being allergic to pets, she likes to keep several pets. She loves to swim, garden and also knows kick-boxing. Very few know about her ability to gymnast, and she can do a pretty neat back-handspring. She is a fluent speaker of Spanish. Currently she lives in Los Angeles, California.
