She is known as a famous American photographer who has worked with many famous public figures and celebrities. Her photo of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lennon">John Lennon</a> on the day he was assassinated is one of her most notable shots. Her catalog has been used on many album covers, magazines, and other forms of media. In 1991, she became the first female to hold an exhibition at Washington's National Portrait Gallery.</p>

<p>She has three daughters in her family. Her first daughter, Sarah Cameron Leibovitz was born in October 2001 when Leibovitz was already at 52 years of age. In May of 2005, Annie’s twin girls, Susan and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuelle">Samuelle</a> given birth by a surrogate mother.</p>

<p>A <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Sontag">writer</a> and essayist <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Sontag">Susan Sontag</a> was known to have a close relationship with Annie for many decades.
