Blake Michael was born on July 31, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Steven and Monique Michael. He was raised alongside his older brother, Zack. His journey into the entertainment industry began at the age of three, when he started booking print modeling jobs. By the age of five, Blake had enrolled in acting classes at the Company Acting Studio under the mentorship of Lisina Stoneburner, where he quickly developed a passion for acting. At six years old, he signed with talent agent Joy Pervis, marking an early and significant step into professional entertainment.
Blake's early break came through commercial work, including a notable advertisement for Bojangles’ Chicken, in which he appeared alongside then-NFL quarterback Jake Delhomme. He also featured in Christian music artist Mark Schultz’s music video for the song Letters From War and appeared in an international commercial promoting the Zathura board game, tied to the movie release in 2006. During this time, he also worked as a child model for Macy’s for two years.
In third grade, Blake made the decision to leave traditional school in order to pursue acting full-time, transitioning to home-schooling to accommodate his growing career. At the age of 10, he was selected to host a series of commercials for Hasbro Toys, which led to his connection with Cartoon Network. This opportunity expanded into a starring hosting role for two children's television programs: Fried Dynamite, which aired on Friday evenings, and Dynamite Action Squad, broadcast Saturday mornings. Targeted toward boys aged 6 to 11, both shows aired for three years. During this period, he also debuted as a singer in the duet Looking In Your Eyes with fellow young artist Celeste Kellogg.
In June 2010, Blake Michael starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth as the character Charlie Delgado. The film, a musical drama about high school students forming a band, gained substantial popularity. That same year, Blake ventured behind the camera by writing and directing a short film titled Anonymous, which was selected for screening at several teen film festivals in 2011.
Following the success of Lemonade Mouth, Blake was cast in the Disney Channel series Dog with a Blog, which premiered in 2012. He played Tyler James, one of the lead characters. The show was well-received, running for three seasons and earning two Emmy nominations. His performance, alongside his signature long, wavy hair, cemented his status as a rising teen star within the Disney franchise.
In addition to acting, Blake has proven himself as a talented filmmaker. He wrote, directed, and composed music for another short film, which was recognized with an award at the Red Rock Film Festival. His diverse skill set includes video editing, drumming, and music composition. At just 12 years old, Blake became one of YouTube’s youngest partners, showcasing his independent content creation skills early on. Moreover, he is an accomplished swimmer, having competed at the state level and earned multiple titles.
Blake Michael is currently single. He was previously in a relationship with model Essena O’Neill, which reportedly ended in the fall of 2015. Since then, he has kept his dating life private, focusing primarily on his professional endeavors.
Despite being in his early twenties, Blake has already accumulated a significant net worth, estimated at approximately $1 million. With his growing portfolio in acting, directing, music, and entrepreneurship, Blake shows promise for continued financial and creative success in the entertainment industry.
