In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), her role gained prominence as Ginny becomes central to the plot. The couple became engaged in 2011 but ended their engagement in 2012. Despite persistent rumors at the time, Bonnie publicly denied being pregnant, and there was no marriage between the two. As of now, she has not publicly announced any plans for marriage.
