Caitlin Stasey is an Australian actress who is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Rachel Kinski in the Australian soap opera Neighbours. Caitlin Jean Stasey was born on May 1, 1990, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; she has a younger sister, Victoria. Stasey attended Star of the Sea College, a Catholic day school for girls in Brighton. When she was just ten years old Stasey was able to travel the world as a member of the Australian Girls Choir and participated in recording the Peter Allen song, I Still Call Australia Home, as part of a commercial for Qantas airlines. In 2003, Stasey was made a member of the cast of the children’s television series The Sleepover Club, an Australian live action series produced by Andy Rowley. Caitlin Stasey made her first appearance as Rachel Kinski in the episode of Neighbours that aired on August 18, 2005. In 2008, Stasey played the lead role in the film Tomorrow, When the War Began, which was an adaptation of the teen novel of the same name.
Stasey self identifies as a pansexual but tries to steer away from sexual labeling, she finds that people are troubled that she says she is a lesbian when they find out she is in a relationship with a man. On her rather progressive website, Herself.com, Stasey says that she is in a somewhat open relationship with the love of her life.
