Carla Facciolo was born in 1967, January 14 in Bergen Beach, Brooklyn. She spent her childhood growing up and going to school in the same area she was born in. Her father Louis Facciolo was a very famous mobster in Brooklyn. Thanks to the kind of profession her father was in, Carla was loaded with money and had everything she wanted during her childhood. Due to the connections her father had Carla was not able to separate her life from that of the life of mafia despite her efforts.
Career
Carla Facciolo is famous for her work in a reality television show on VH1 network Mob Wives. The first time the show aired on TV was on April 17, 2011. The program is about the lives of women whose husbands or other members of the family are arrested and put in jail for their crimes. One special thing about these crimes is that they are somehow connected to the world of organized crime, or more commonly known as mafia. The series lasted for 6 years and Carla Facciolo was without a doubt one of the main characters of the series.
The reality show got mixed reviews from various critics. Entertainment Weekly was surprisingly encouraged by the way the show was heading and thought that it was one of the better reality programs in recent years. However, according to the critics working in the New York Daily News, the show was a terrible one with even worse people working and starring on it. The show also got attention from the people who do not work as journalists or television critics. Various personalities stated that the show belongs in the trash category with the likes of Jersey Shore and other reality television. There were also some people saying that people who run a show about mafia should be ashamed of themselves for thinking that this sort of thing belongs in the television. The public outcry was a bad publicity for everyone including Carla, and she expressed her opinion, stating that the people don't know what they are talking about.
The show also made some spin-offs happen. The same program began to appear on television, the only different thing being that it was located in Chicago. The producers also tried to make one in Miami and Philadelphia but did not get approved by the network.
Personal life
Carla's name is something people associate with organized crime. Many of her family members are known to have worked in one way or the other with the mafia. Her biography states that she was married to Joseph Ferragamo, another mobster. Her husband was in jail but got released during the time Carla was on the show. The two have twins, Carmen, and Joseph.
Trivia
At the age of 49 years old Carla is still doing the things anyone famous would do. After Mob Wives was over it looked like Facciolo was gone but it her returns seems imminent.
After joining Twitter in 2011 Carla managed to get over 260 thousand followers. Her net worth is estimated to be worth about 1.5 million dollars.
It's hard to describe what kind of a person Carla Facciolo is. While being on television she appeared to be a decent human being, but her association with the world of organized crime makes it hard to believe her being a good person.
