Childhood
Carrie Henn or Caroline Marie Henn is a former American actress who is very famous for her role pertraying Rebecca Newt of Aliens-The Return (1986). She has since quit acting and went totally out of limelight.
Henn was born as the daughter of a former non-commissioned officer of the United States Air Force, Master Sergeant Kenneth Henn and his wife Roseleen Henn, a nurse. She spent most of her childhood in Lakenheath, England where her father was stationed in the mid-1980’s.
Career
Henn attended school near her father’s base. One day while in the school cafeteria a casting director noticed her and took a picture of her. She was later invited to audition at Pinewood Studios where she was caste for a role in Aliens-The Return as Newt.
Henn did not have any acting experience nor did she study acting. She happened to be near the shooting spot and was unexpectedly caste into the role. Her brother Christopher Henn was also caste in the movie but, he did not appear in the final release. We can see his scenes in the original extended version.
After the success of the movie, she found that she was suddenly famous, something she had never sought out nor wanted. In many of her interviews, she stated that she would never take up any more movie projects and she kept her word, never appearing in another movie role. Though it seems she had been willing to make an exception for the 2015 fan film Alien Identity but the film was never made ands instead the project lead to the film Triborn..
Henn won a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor for her role in Aliens, . The entire Aliens cast, including Henn, was reunited for the first time since the films release at the Comic & Entertainment Expo On April 26, 2014, in the Stampede Corral in algary.
By the time the movie was released, Henn and her family had moved to America and started focusing more on her education. After completing high School Henn attended California State University for her graduating in 2000 with a degree in Liberal Science and Child Development. She now works as a teacher in Atwater, California for fourth grade students. Every now and then, some kids in her class used to bring DVDs for her to sign but she has no plans to return to the acting field and she never talked about her career too much. She still maintains a good relationship with Sigourney Weaver, who played the lead role in the Alien movies. She was invited to the release of Aliens 3 as a guest of Sigourney Weaver and Weaver made sure that she was seated right next to her.
Later, in 2001 after graduating from college, she appeared in a few documentaries based on the Alien movie. She was also interviewed for the complete DVD pack. Her last official appearance was in 2016 in Log Angeles for 30th anniversary of screening of the movie. She remembers a lot about her movie shooting days. She talks about her relationship with Weaver, best scenes, how she spent her time in the set and so on.
There are very few details about her personal life other than that she does have a brother and that he was also caste in the same movie. She does not talk a lot about her family. The same goes with her romantic life. She married Nathan Kutcher in 2005 and has a daughter with him. There are no details as to whether they are still married or not. Nathan Kutcher is a cousin of Tommy Lee Jones. There are no other details about her husband, marriage life and others. She once stated that her daughter looks exactly like her when she was caste in the movie. Thus, while watching Aliens, she feels that her daughter is up in the screen. She has never spoken talked about her husband or past boyfriends.
