The Ant & Dec duo formed after the actors met while performing on the CBBC drama Byker Grove; in a 2004 poll conducted by the BBC, the duo was named the eighteenth most influential people in British culture. In 2007, Ant & Dec signed a two and a half year contract with ITV worth thirty million pounds. <a href="/biography/declan-donnelly">Declan Joseph Oliver Donnelly</a> was born September 25, 1975, in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England; he has three brothers and three sisters. Donnelly attended the all-boys school, St. Cuthbert’s High School, and once considered becoming a Catholic priest. His television career began at the age of twelve when he auditioned for Byker Grove. Donnelly and <a href="/biography/ryan-mcpartlin">McPartin</a> have been co-presenters on a wide variety of shows including Britain’s Got Talent, Wanna Bet?, Text Santa, PokerFace, and Pop Idol.</p>

<p>Declan Donnelly married Ant & Dec’s business manager, Ali Astall, at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elswick,_Tyne_and_Wear">Elswick</a>, Tyne and Wear, on August 1, 2015. The ceremony was conducted by his brother, Father Dermott Donnelly, a Catholic priest. The couple had their first child, a girl whom they named Isla Elizabeth Anne, in September of 2018.</p>
