Erika Tarantal was born in September during the year 1979. Erika is most known around the country for being a principal reporter and anchor at the news station WCVB Boston. Her primary duty is being one of the anchors for the midday news. She likes to highlight her diet as one of her lifestyle choices. She chooses not to eat meat because it is against her values. Being a vegetarian helps her keep up a healthy lifestyle and voices her disapproval of the meat industry in the United States. Erika is married to a man named Lucas Nathan. Lucas and Erika gave birth to their first child in the spring of 2012. The delivery happened two years before Erika made a transition to the WCVB job in 2014.
Before switching to WCVB, Erika was the co-anchor of WNBC, which was located in New York. She primarily anchored the 6 pm news hour for New York. Occasionally she filled in for the 1 pm weekend slot whenever the General Assignment reporter was not available. Erika left the WNBC station in January 2014 so that she could move to the WCVB station. Having a position in two major eastern United States cities gave Erika much-valued experience in the fast-paced world of news reporting.
Tarantal started the beginning of her career when she joined the WNBC station as a general assignment reporter. She worked hard to earn a promotion and finally did when she became a regular reporter in December 2007. The increase in visibility was huge for Tarantal compared to where she was at just two years before. During 2005, she was an employee of the WVIT station in Connecticut, and she served in the weekend evening anchor slot. As a beginner, she had to pull double duty by filling in the weekday general assignment reporting. Tarantal's line of work did not start at the WVIT station.
Before she started her career in broadcast journalism, she worked as a paralegal for an office of an attorney in Boston. There is no direct line of a career path from being a paralegal to a news reporter. Tarantal was able to merge the two worlds by using the social skills and communication she learned at the law office to navigate the world of news reporting. In her law office job, she had to meet deadlines that the attorney set. At her news station, she had to be ready to present the news promptly.
Erika Tarantal is the daughter of Stephen M Tarantal. Her father isn't just anyone; he is also on top of his field like Erika is. Stephen is a painter and the dean for the College of Arts and Design with the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Having such an accomplished father pushed Erika to succeed, even if it would be a different industry. Her mother, known as Elsa Johnson, was also involved in the creative visual arts. Elsa is a sculptor and is also a professor at the university that her husband is employed at. It is unclear why Erika did not go into visual arts because her parents carved the path to a role.

Erika is proud of her parents and is happy with the career she eventually ended up in. Since she works as a reporter as the weekend anchor in New York, Erika Tarantal can sleep each Friday or Saturday night until 7. She says her room is full of alarm clocks that surround her like mousetraps. She enjoys her sleep like everyone in the world, but she knows that she has an important job to wake up to. She would love to just lay in bed and enjoy her sleep, so she needs the alarm clocks to bring her to reality and get her ready for work.
Erika's friends say that she is gorgeous and well-grounded for having a high-profile job in the news world. She is known for having a calm disposition and never losing her cool. As a news anchor, she has to be very emotionally intense. She can't lose control of her emotions because that would reflect poorly on herself and the news station that she is representing. She learned about the art of composure while growing up at a historic stoned home with her family. While growing up, she said that her family did not have many photographs in her house. Instead, the artsy parents made sculptures of her daughter. While the average child would see a framed photo in the living room, Erika would rather see a beautiful sculpture.
Erika met her husband when they were young adults. Lucas Nathan was her neighbor's cousin, and she never sat still when she would see Lucas. He was raised in Manchester, had earrings, many girlfriends, liked hip-hop, and was the master of impressive flips on snowboards. He asked his father to install the trampoline within his living room. He is known to be an active sportsman and enjoys jumping around as much as he can.
The first day Erika Tarantal met Lucas Nathan was when she visited her friend Alicia Nathan at Skidmore College. However, they did not start to see each other because she already had a boyfriend. However, he left a lasting impression on her because of his confidence. He was very loud in his body language, and it was something that she would never forget.
Eventually, when Erika became single, they met again for dinner, and she liked that he was an enthusiast about anything. However, when they started to date, many people agreed that Nathan began to change, and she was the only girlfriend who made him look nervous. Gone was the bravado he exhibited; it was now replaced with a vulnerability that Erika caused. Their marriage ceremony took place at the University of the Arts, where her parents were employed.
