Frank James Lampard is a British football player and writer. He is famous for his role as midfielder for New York City FC. He is all the leading goal scorer of Chelsea.
Personal life
Frank was born to Frank Lampard Sr and Pat Lampard. His mother died in 2008. In 2000, he was a part of a questionable video that appeared in a holiday resort along with Rio Ferdinand and Kieron Dyer. Frank never talked about this video. In 2001, he was fined by Chelsea for his behavior abusing American tourists, while he was drunk.

Career
He started his carrier at his father’s club, West Ham United in 1994. His father was an assistant coach and he entered as an apprentice in the team. In 1995, he was loaned to Second Division Swansea City. He made his debut in West Ham in 1996. He signed a contract with the club in 1999 to keep him in the club, till 2005. In 2000, his form took a hit and the team stayed in the bottom half of the League table. Due to the poor treatment of his father in the club, Frank left the club along with his father. In 2001, he joined Chelsea after declining an offer from Aston Villa.
In 2002, he was selected as the Player of the Month, by Barclays. In 2008, he again signed a five-year contract with Chelsea for 39.2 million pounds. This made him the highest paid League player. In 2012, he missed being in the squad of EURO 2012 due to an injury. In 2014, his contract with Chelsea ended and he signed with New York City FC. Later, he was transferred to Manchester City. It was a six-month contract which was initially announced to be a loan. Later, he announced that he would be staying for long in Manchester City and New York City FC accused him of being dishonest. Later, Manchester City announced that Frank never signed a contract with New York City FC. Frank confirmed that he would be a part of NYCFC after 2014-15 season. As stated, he signed a contract in 2015 and joined after an injury delay. In the end of 2016, NYCFC confirmed that Frank would not be re-drafted to the club.
He played for England Under 21 in 1997 against Greece. He also played for England till 2000 and scored 9 goals. EURO 2004 was his first EURO debut. He became the top scorer of 2006 World Cup. He played in all World Cup series till 2014 in which he announced his retirement after earning 106 caps with 29 goals. His net worth is 30 million pounds.
