Hayley Faith Negrin is an American child actress who was born on April 9, 2003, in New York City. Negrin has been interested in performing since she was a small child and began her professional career in 2010. Her first performance would be in a national television commercial for Verizon. After her appearance in the Verizon commercial, Negrin was picked from hundreds of girls to voice the lead role in the PBS Kids television show "Peg + Cat".
The show was created by Billy Aronson and Jennifer Oxley who both said Negrin "sounded like a real kid, not too polished or over-rehearsed". The creators of the show added that she won the role "with her quirky voice and raw talent". In fact, Negri's voice work was so good in "Peg + Cat" it earned her a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program in 2014. Negrin still voices the PBS Kids show's lead character to this day.
